Build progress

Project status

The software foundation is in place. The next milestone is proving the complete path on one physical Android device.

A recovery route branching around a managed device, with circuit junctions and growing leaves

Ready in software

The core software path is implemented and tested:

  • An Android host app that prepares and supervises Linux guests.
  • Packaged Alpine and Ubuntu guest profiles.
  • A typed, authenticated host API and controller client.
  • Private host and guest networking with a recovery route.
  • Automated packaging, security, and software checks.

Next milestone

Complete one end-to-end run on physical ARM64 Android hardware:

  • Boot the known-good Linux guest on-device.
  • Join host and guest to the private network.
  • Deploy remotely and connect with ordinary SSH.
  • Recover when private networking is unavailable.
  • Survive reboots, restarts, and controller disconnects.

Qualifying the Linux guest

Current work focuses on deterministic Ubuntu ARM64 boot, key-only access, clean restarts, and secret hygiene. Physical validation follows with the project's hardware-in-the-loop runner on one exact phone and build.
